well, coraline and monsters vs aliens came with 3d glasses and i almost had a seizure watching the new LED tv at the electronics store.

yeah, technology of the 'future' isn't too distant.

      Hey "Frick"
It's gonna be expensive at first, but I think it'll be a reality this year..:-)

That would be cool, but what would be really nice is holographic display technology, so I don't have to wear those stupid glasses at home.

I just did a podcast about this last night. ESPN says it will have a channel to broadcast in 3_D by June 11th and Discovery Channel is teaming with I-Max and Sony to broadcast full time by 2011. Crazy huh? Should be interesting. smile

Ya gotta love it!"I haven't seen "Avatar" yet. I've been told that folks are ducking and practially jumping out their seats because of things flying outa the screen! Sound like fun!  :-)
Can't wait till it gets to a theater here.

Ive been researching the technology behind Avatar (which is a whole different animal than Coraline) ..this year the HDMI compliance will include specifics to 3D viewing!

Capable Monitors for PC's are available and are not considerably more expensive at the 23-32' scale.

the next sky box is goign to be 3d but it will require and upgrade of all tv's as our current tv's dont support the new kind of 3D shown in films like up, avatar etc
