I am getting a bit fed up that while I am writing a new hub the whole content of what I have written keeps on moving up and down. It seems that when hub pages starts to save what I have written that everything moves up and down like a yo-yo and I have a very hard task when I want to carry on with what I am writing to place the marker on the last word that I wrote.
The script that I have written just doesn't keep still and it is very annoying. I suppose that I could overcome this by writing my hub on a word document in my computer and then copying and pasting it to 'start a new hub' but I feel that it shouldn't be like this.
Have I omitted to press a button somewhere or what is going wrong? It is not a serious problem but just very annoying.
Kind regards,
Amanda Stagnetto
i get the same problem every time it autosaves while writing... might be the browser... mines int expl... hubpages codes using firefox i think... might be the problem there.... bothersome but not bothersome enough to change browsers in my opinion since I'm used to the functionality of int expl
Mel, you may be on to something, especially if you're using IE6. I had IE6 at work and a lot of sites seem to have trouble with it.
I really recommend you give Firefox a try. It's not that hard to get used to, and apparently it's much less susceptible to hacking too. I switched and I much prefer Firefox now.
mel22 could be right. I write in Word and then copy and paste into the capsule. I find that it saves me time in the long run plus I have the original copy on my hard drive should any questions arise as to copyright infringements.
I second this. I save all my work in OpenOffice them copy and paste. After pasting I still seem to need to delete an empty space between paragraphs but that's no biggy.
great idea about saving in word document first and then pasting - that's what I'm going to do from now on. Thanks for all comments
To fix this problem, all you need to do is write your hub on wordpad, then transfer it to your hub text..
Like others, I have had this problem. When this has happened to me, I saved changes, as unpublished. Got out of the new hub, and re-entered the hub. It seemed I didn't have this problem when I went back, not sure why. Thank you for asking this question, nice to see, that some write their pages, prior to entering on line.
I biggest inconvenience is my pictures taking excess time to upload. I'm no computer wiz but I assume it is probably my processor speed or something like that. Not sure what I can do about that except cry, moan and go have another mug of hot cocoa.
That reminds me! Time to go put the water on...
Could also be the size of the photos you are using. I try to generally use JPEG images that are about 50-100 KB, once they are bigger than that it takes far longer for them to upload, especially if you are uploading more than one at a time.
Scanned images from your own photos will take ages if you don't resize them when you scan them, and if you are downloading from the net look for thumbnails that say the size underneath them before you choose to select them. Otherwise it may just be your connection speed or your processor.
I had the same problem until I started writing in Word and cutting and pasting. The moving target can be a real challenge when one writes late into the night...or maybe it's my age!

I was working on a new hub and having trouble copying and pasting a PDF file into it when it disappeared. I had worked on it a couple of times but I had not published it. I did a rewrite and wanted to include a particular PDF. Also, my title was questionable, so I changed the title. Which of these,...
