   real computer...  it was a Tandy 2000 from Radio Shack and was the first real souped-up computer i owned.  i did have a lot of experience on computers at college prior to the Tandy 2000, but i remember how excited i was by the new MS-DOS operating system and the 64K floppy drives.  i sure miss the fellow.

   I did not see a computer until I was in highschool, circa 1990ish.
   and on that note I do not remember what kind it was, but I was amazed how well it typed verses the typewriter..
   
   I did not own one until 1997 and it was a PIONEX , but I could not even tell you what model it was or anything... I do remember buying it , my first time ever using credit, at a SUN TELEVISION and APPLIANCE store in Mansfield, OH..which has been out of business for many years. I was 21

   My cousin bougt a Tandy when we were kids. we played with that thing for about two days before we took it apert to see how it worked I think we were 15 or so never did get it back together:)

   My first computer was when I was in ninth grade. It was a Tandy 16k extended basic color computer.

   My first computer was an acorn electron in the late 1980's. It used cassette tapes and made an awful noise when it was loading anything from them. But is was still cool.

   I forgot to add, I now own a still in the original box, ADAM computer that has everything still in the plastic, It dates back to 1982..I picked it up at an auction on the "junk" table..
   
   I have been wondering what it is worth, it came with a box of coleco games and accessories, even an ink cartridge still boxed...
   
   
   if it might be worth anything I may craigslist it...I gave 5 bucks for the huge comper in the box and every accessory imaginable ( I read the manual - that is the only thing I unwrapped )

   My dad bought a 386 Northgate computer, when I was in Jr. High.  It was the latest thing.  He set it up with several CAD programs and a flight simulator game.  We had so much fun with it, but my favorite part of owning a computer was spell check.  No longer was it necessary to be a good enough speller to know when you made a mistake!  I fell in love with page layouts and so many other things that only big printers could do before.
   
   I used a 286 through out college.  It did what was needed, and I was grateful to have it.
