Do you still remember your first hub? Did you delete it, unpublished it?
For us it was a disaster. Can you relate? What were we thinking?
Hi Lord De Cross. I do remember and it is still published. I didn't know what I was doing in the beginning, though; and I posted several stories on the same page...the additional ones after the original I posted in 'comments.' (told you I didn't know how to work the system!)...finally, I figured it out and made separate hubs out of them. the first was "I was so much younger then, I'm older than that now." (B Dylan)...about my cat. Or else it was "Throwaways." Both are still up.
Hello! I am new here
But i do remember first day i posted my first hub , second day i got an email saying your hub is at warning .. hhahha!! because of 3 backlinks .
wow! still have learn a lot .
My first one is viewed quite often. I read a lot and visited before joining HubPages. I was on here reading for about four months before I joined. I had things pretty well figured out by then. I also was going to college at the time and wrote it as I would a term paper so I also had that as an advantage. I have seen some pretty poor first hubs in all my reading and try to help the new ones out a bit if I see something that will cause problems.
I do remember my first hub. I got a warning about a duplication because I quoted too much of a speech. But I fixed it and it's still drawing some traffic.
Of course I remember my first hub. The title is "Why I Love the Pittsburgh Steelers (Top 10 Reasons)." I have no intention of deleting it. In fact, I think I'll add 10 more reasons.
The only reason I starting writing hubs in the first place is that I was debating someone in the forums and he responded to one of posts, "Go write some hubs and I'll give the above comment some credibility." So I did. And I responded to the person who made that comment, "Okay, I wrote a hub, does that make me Einstein or what?" Hey, it amused me.
Can I relate? No, not at all. My first Hub is still up and running and drawing traffic.
I wrote my first hub and published it. It was short, lots of bullet points, doesn't look like an article. Hubscore was low , had to amend it to improve the score. I deleted 3 hubs which I did not even started to write. I was too greedy ...thought of great title and make a hub but never follow up.

I have a few hubs that I wrote about 10 years ago when I first started writing on hubpages that are not very good. They are pretty thin on content and get little or no traffic now. Some of them have even been unpublished due to lack of traffic or for quality. I am not disputing that they are not...

Have you ever chosen to delete any of your hubs?If so, why? Did it have the affect that you were looking for?

One or two of my hubs have fallen victim to the "does not meet quality standards" empty bubble. In one case, I imagine it is because the hub falls under the "purely personal" category, better suited to a blog. That's fine. I can move it. (It's an older hub...

I have a quick question. If I unpublish a hub, does Google "see" that it's still sitting in my account and thus punish me for it, or should I be totally deleting hubs that I decide are not garnering enough traffic? Some of them I'd like to keep around until I get the time to...

Do you keep a backup of your Hubs? If so, do you keep it in your hard disk or elsewhere! Why I ask this is because I was writing for an online website earlier , before joining HubPages. I had saved the links to those 25 + articles that I had published there. Now when I click on those links , I get...
