And Why are you surprised ?
The Pope is a human being as everybody else. And yes, he's representing God here on Earth, from what Christians believe. And as humans  have been created at his image, from what that belief tell us...well! big_smile

The Church that the Roman Empire built in 326 AD?

At the time would have been considered a ONE WORLD CHURCH.
Which grew into what was later known as the "Holy Roman Empire".

A Government leader and Religious leader   ONE MAN.
Sounds like Prophesy fulfilled. (In the Past).

I gotta go to work  will be back later

I'm sure that I sometimes sound like I am bashing Catholics
and Churches in general. I do not intend to do that, though I am bashing the Church orginization that the Roman Empire built.

In my mind, the Church has led as many to Christ as they have dead astray. It is a complicated issue to explain one dimentionaly (on a piece of paper).
It was intentionaly set up that way.

This will not be explaining it to anyones satisfaction including mine. BUT  here goes. It is kinda like this. Many times the Church wants you to worship "IT" and uses Jesus as enticement.
The leader of a Church should not want anyone to look upon him as being Christ on Earth.
Jesus never intended anyone to be intersessor between him and us. Going to Church on Saturday or Sunday IS NOT one of the ten commandments. Though the Churches would like for you to believe that it is.
Going to Church on any day can be a good thing depending upon why you are going. But it is not a requirement for salvation or to have relationship with God.
