The Obama Administration is more concerned with Sanctions on Iran than providing jobs to Americans. Have sanctions against any Muslim country ever worked?
How did they work out in Iraq?
The Chinese are artificially devaluing their currency (Communist Countries don't care about their people... in case you didn't know that) creating huge trade deficits for United States Companies.
You can do your part to help right this imbalance by avoiding goods manufactured in China.
But instead of Dealing with this problem head on Team Obama is choosing to ignore it because they are trying to get on the Good side of the Chinese with Sanctions against Iran.
Reality Check - Russia just signed an economic and military agreement with Venezuela. Russia will not agree to sanctions with Iran. The Chinese are not going to back down either.
So Team Obama is perusing their "wishful thinking"... while more Americans suffer.
The reason why employment hasn't recovered has nothing to do with Iran policy. The reason is that GOP and Blue Dog opposition resulted in an inadequate stimulus package.
Yes! The opposition in Australia tried to water down Government input. It did not work. We are in fine shape by comparison to all the other countries like us because we did put enough in to stimulus.
Ralph Deeds
Please , blaming the blue dogs (democrats ) and the republicans for the unemployment problems is pure fiction.
President Obama and the super democrat controlled house and senate had all the power to approve legislation to create jobs.
Remember ( the government saved or created jobs ) that the saved part was pumping stimulus money to the states to save public jobs ( union public jobs )
There were over 405 districts ( according to the government's website ) that were given stimulus money that didn't even exist.
That's how the Obama and this congress operates, sounds like some kind of corruption going on in distributing stimulus money.
Take note that recently at least 3 job bills were passed. The bills didn't create any jobs , they extended unemployment benefits to citizens at the end of collecting benefits. 2008 unemployment was 6.7% now 16 months later 9.7%, and in some other parts of the country as high as 15%.
Somebody is asleep in Washington or maybe on a campaign trail giving a speech to push his agenda to the American people.
Each time Obama leaves Washington it cost the taxpayers close to a million bucks (borrowed bucks ? ).Silence on the issues are commendable.
I don't actually agree with sanctions, generally, but they worked in South Africa
Is South Africa primarily Muslim?
Answer: About 80 percent of all South Africans are Christians, and most are Protestants.
At some point the United States has got to STOP playing World Police. You can not mandate or legislate belief systems.
300,000 US Citizens. 1.2, 1.6 Billion Muslims?
Apples and Oranges.
American jobs are going away... while Team Obama continues on the Bush Legacy of trying to play World Police so the Industrial Military Complex can make more profit.
And Obama is not solely to blame for this mentality... but he is the current puppet master so he's running the show.
I think you mean 'billion' and there is no need to villify all Muslims. That is illogical and unproductive.
Thank you Sab Oh, that is quite right. I always thought MikeNV was a bit, well, odd, but this proves it...
...Yes, South Africa was good because it was Protestant... HAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHA
A billion Muslims in Iran... riiiiight.
Sanctions against Iraq were UN sanctions not US sanctions. And they were disastrous. They were also a combined Clinton - Bush Sr effort, so you are right to imply that neither party's leadership is necessarily better than the other (if that is what you are implying).
What's your solution wrt Iran's apparent nuclear weapons program? Ignore it? Start a third war?
You are missing the whole point. The point is Obama is NOT concerned about Jobs... he is only concerned about his own Agenda.
His actions speak much louder than words.
Inadequate stimulus?
You can't be serious.
How much more money does the Government have to print and borrow to be Adequate?
How many Government Jobs are needed to restore the economy... oops Government Jobs LEECH from the Economy.
16,000 new IRS agents to be hired to ENFORCE mandated health care? Now what exactly do IRS agents produce?
And the Census jobs... those create what? More government and more paperwork. And when that's over... right back to the unemployment line to collect those Government Checks.
Inadequate Stimulus... thanks... that was truly funny.
Always the GOP's fault. Trade deficit is the GOP's fault. Lack of Jobs... GOP's fault.
Obama takes office with promised to end the War in Afghanistan... 34,000 Troops in place... Obama sends 66,000 more. Once again the GOP's fault.
In 1980 the Federal Deficit was $1 Trillion. Since that time we have had BOTH Democrat and Republican Presidents... current deficit $12+ Trillion... but of course it's the GOP's fault.
Glass-Stegal Act repeal... Signed off by Clinton... GOP's fault.
Where do I get the Koolaid and Rose Colored Blame the GOP for everything glasses?
Tiger Woods cheats on wife - Blame the GOP!
I think most people know Tiger Woods couldn't keep his penis to himself. I don't think anyone was thinking otherwise and blaming something else.
And sounds like it would be a good move to become an IRS agent so employment would be assured for the next couple of years at least.
And regardless of who's unfortunate job it is to fix the mess the USA is in, and excuse my rose colored glasses cause I'm sure I see through them often, the fact remains that you can't spend what you don't have. Or you can, but sooner or later you have to pay it back. The WHOLE of the USA citizens have to wise up and start understanding some basic economics. A consumer driven society is going to get bitten on their asses if their desire in life is to attain goods and spend money they haven't got.
"The WHOLE of the USA citizens have to wise up and start understanding some basic economics"
On behalf of "The WHOLE of the USA citizens" let me thank the representative of a great nation where the WHOLE of the citizens are brilliant economists. We've just been waiting all this time for guidance from enlightened ones like yourself.
Mike You would be the first to complain if Obama put 8 million people on a government payroll. That's the only way Obama can erase unemployment overnight. Since Obama is a capitalist, he's looking for the private sector to create jobs, which it did this month by 100,000 jobs.
Many economists (Paul Krugman - Nobel lauriate) feel the stimulus was too small. Ralph WAS serious and credible in that statement.
The 100,000 jobs I cite does NOT include the temporary census jobs. And the census is mandated in the Constitution. So you can shove that criticism.
Obama is doing just what he said he would do in Afghanistan. Others have corrected you on that point and you continue to repeat that lie. . I don't hapen to agree on escalating in Afghanistan, but it's not a broken promise in any way.
When Clintonwas in office there was a budget SURPLUS. The Reagan recovery was financed on deficit spending, which was OK for Ronnie ray-gun but wrong when it's done by a black president.
Like I said on another thread:
On July 4th change your w2's to 10 dependents and show them all how much we are not going to accept their taxation without representation!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co … 01900.htmlIn this Washington Post article it says that two-thirds of the stimulus went toward tax cuts, fiscal aid to states, and expanded unemployment benefits and food stamps. The stimulus also went to the $3 billion in National Science Foundation...

Good morning,Democrats and Republicans agree -- the health care status quo isn't working for the American people.Health insurance is growing more and more expensive by the day. Too many of us can't afford it -- not middle class families, not businesses, not the Federal Government. Insurance...

Donald Trump's supporters frequently point to all that he has accomplished to make up for his other bad characteristics (false statements and lying being the most frequent). But the question is, what has he really done?I define "accomplish" as some significant action or policy that...
