   They answer is yes i love video games but guest what it here and its staying the military use all type of video games to train military personal video games are technonlogy its complex and it can learn you alot if you only know how to controle it with in your mind but you also got to remember they are diffrent types of rated its just like a movie rated R IS M in video games so parents if you follow these rated you have nothing to worried about.

      Every innovation changes somebodies world, some for the good and some for the bad. Computer games can make people sharper and improve their brain capabilities and logic. They can also induce mental health problems which can send them on killing sprees (for example GTA). There is not a single true innovation which has not helped somebody and hindered another.

   I would say Yes. Games teaching the exact techniques how to handle Trains and Aeroplanes which should only be known to Authorized Persons.

   Madeline, I think those would fall under the category of simulators rather than true games but I get what you're saying.
   
   Overall, I think that video games are both helpful and hurtful to society.  Studies have suggested that certain games can enhance our ability to think in more abstract ways.  That is, get us out of our regular way of thinking.  I enjoy strategy/simulation games that make me think several moves or steps ahead and feel like they may sharpen my mental abilities. 
   
   The dark side are the addictive press a button/level up kind of games like WOW which require a huge time sink to achieve higher levels and are purely made to make more and more money off of you sitting on your ass all day.  
   
   Video games seem to be in a standstill state right now, as they seem to be working off of the same formula that Hollywood uses...produce what they know is a sure thing.  That's why you see so many franchised sequels to hit games right now.  I wish the game industry would put more effort into making the innovative games that technology and developers are capable of.  Ones that challenge the very definition of what a video game is and that require a more challenging train of thought.

   I think video games are a great way to have some enjoyment. Sure, I think parents should keep an eye on what games their kids are playing, but other than that it's fine.

   donno games are changing our world or not, but we cant ignore the impact of games on our lives, as playing brain storming games definitely improve our way of thinking.
   Well, if you'll not play games all the time then games are significant but if you play all the time it means you are wasting your time for nothing.

   I think everything in the world has an impact on lives.  Some just get more publicity. For example when I was younger, I once lost a job watching kids because I mentioned that i had played Dungeons and Dragons.
   It's not whether or not something has an impact, just whether or not its the media's flavor of the week. Remember when heavy metal was sooooooo horrible.... now no one even mentions it as a cause of children having issues.
   "McDonalds is making our kids fat" No, the fact that you kid glows in the dark from never leaving the house might be a clue on how he got that way.
   Video games are big lately, wonder what it'll be next?
   "Is space travel making us watch more Porn?"
   hmmm.... might have to call dibbs on that one before the daytime talk shows grab it up.

      I've been doing research on the topic a bit. I found a news article about a guy who played World of Warcraft and that helped him get a job with Yahoo.  Maybe you were just playing the wrong game. :-)
