And, you only see government as the problem? roll

Government isn't afraid of the people. The government knows it isn't possible, as of yet, to gather 2/3 or 3/4 of the citizens on a specific topic, so it isn't worried in the slightest.

There are plenty of different groups, screaming about misconceptions, for there to be a unified group of citizens.

Divide and conquer comes to mind and the people are not seeing it.

Well, didn't you just inform us all of what the goverment knows and worries about, doesn't worry about in the 'slightest'.  Just what's so different now?  We've always had groups in disagreement and disarray -- why is it now rabidly approaching criminal to have an opinion?

So you'd like the world to plunge into a state of anarchy?

Wait until you're hungry, and then you find that nobody bothered to grow food because they were too busy having fun doing something else.  Now you're starving, along with millions/billions of other people.

Wait until you need a doctor, and then find all medical staff have gone sunbathing because it was more fun.  Now you are dying of an easily cured illness, but hey, that's the price you volunteered to pay.

Wait until a murderer kills the one you love, and you try to find a law enforcement officer to track down the killer and bring him/her to justice - not that there are any, because the lawyers are on the beach...

Republican senator from Maine, William Cohen: "We have been saying for so long that government is the enemy. Government is the enemy until you need a friend."

The reason why the world is spiraling into a state of anarchy is because the world is getting smaller. More and more diverse cultures are suddenly clashing head-on. It is government that is attempting to maintain some semblance of order. To do so means catering to the whims and dictates of countless special interest groups -- some of which threaten violence if they don't get their way. So government is forced to enact new laws to accommodate these huge masses.
Hundreds of millions of poor people have, in one voice, said "Enough!" They are migrating to richer nations in search of the proverbial "better life." But once they arrive they are met with hostility. And rightly so. The clash of cultures has always proven to be a catalyst to violence.
The result is that we'll merge into a triad of governments and finally into one government.
