There are many internet sites that provide free online games - so if you fancy a quick (or lengthy) break from the humdrum of your every day activity - maybe this hub can help you a little.

Modern games online
Your modern gamer will play the likes of up to date PC games (usually first person shooters or real time strategy games) online against other human players.
Online games like this have really taken off over the last few years and the way in which the player can immerse him or herself within the game world is superb.
The console market has really grabbed hold of online gaming too - with the likes of X-Box live becoming a world-wide past-time for gamers both young and old.
Playing individually or as part of a team the online possibilities expand further and further as each year goes by.
Skyrim is currently one of the most addicting games available to play on-line.
Things have come a long way since Wolrd of Warcraft first started!

Retro Games Online
Gamers of a certain age (like yours truly!) will perhaps be intro retro gaming and computer history.
Retro gaming is becoming more and more popular with sites like World Of Spectrum, Lemon Amiga and ZX Spectrum Games providing detailled information into classic games from the 1980's and 1990's.
Now hundreds of versions of these games can be played online as well as those classic arcade games such as Pac-Man, Scramble, Space Invaders, Space Harrier, Asteroids, Galaxian, Missile Command, Tetris and Frogger.
It's quite funny because the old rivalries are still there. The 'war' between the ZX Spectrum and the C64 still rages, the Amiga users still look down upon the Atari ST, Master System and NES - and rightly so! ;-)
So - for example if you fancy playing some classic ZX Spectrum games without the need of a Spectrum Emulator then try the likes of http://www.zxspectrum.net to get you started!
