Should a hobby be turned into money

Should a hobby that you really enjoy in life and gives you a massive feeling of well being be turned into a money making venture even if your gut feeling is no?

Ultimately we all want to make money doing something we love and enjoy doing.  If adding the money making aspect to your happy hobby causes stress or bad feelings, do not do it.  If it becomes necessary to use your hobby for support than consider mastering another facet of your hobby temporarily or another hobby altogether.  We all need some time to stop and smell the roses, enjoy ourselves and enjoy life in general.  Enjoy a wonderful day !

If it means changing the way you approach your hobby you might not want to make it a money thing.
On the other hand if it flows with your natural enjoyment I suggest looking at it in a different light. Think of it as being a way to share your hobby with others and don't focus on profit.
Most people spend their time working at things that are not something they love to do in order to have the money to do things they love. If you can make money doing something that you like doing you will do it far better.

As long as you still enjoy your hobby.  A hobby should never become stressful or a must do.

Yes. Question is, does chocolate eating constitute a financially advantageous hobby?

Just because you have a hobby does not mean that it should be used to make money off of it. For example, although someone likes sex, he or she might not want to try to make money off of that.

Always trust your gut feelings.  That being said, if the income your hobby can produce is a natural extension of your hobby, then it should not have a negative impact.  However, if your focus becomes on the income rather than the enjoyment, your hobby could quickly become a burden.
