Well in today's day and age not many games are made in the name of teaching, but back in the 90's u had reader rabit. If you're looking for something more modern you might want to try games from the scribblenauts series. They don't directly teach writing, but the premise of the game is to create objects to solve problems by writing out the name of the object on you notepad, which then brings the item into existence so you can use it to interact with the world! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scribblenauts
