#1. When you put or remove your glasses then always make use of both hands instead of one. If you use only one hand then you are likely to pervert your specs. When you hold your specs with both hands then make sure you hold them firmly and don't touch the lenses, as you can get your fingerprints on them.

#2. All type of glasses are light-weight so that people can wear them comfortably, so if you want your specs to last longer then treat them carefully. If you aren't using you glasses then don't put them inside your pocket or inside any loose handbag, best place for them is in a case. You can carry them in you bag or pocket. The hard glasses case are designed to protect them. If you don't have then you should immediately go and buy a new one.

#3. Many times when people get tired, maybe because of continuous work or wearing specs continuously, they put their specs on top their head. Avoid doing this, as you put them on your head, the side arms of your glasses gets stretched and puts the hinges under pressure, even if your glasses has flexible hinges, the frame as well as hinges are eventually stretched.

#4. Along with lenses, you should take care of your spectacle's frame too. To clean frame, you can simply use warm soapy water. You can use a soft toothbrush if your spectacle's bridge or nose pads haven't got cleaned thoroughly by this warm soapy water, be wary when you use toothbrush such that the toothbrush doesn't touches the lenses or your spectacle's lenses might get scratches.

#5. The best way to make your glasses last longer is to clean them once a day by washing them with a warm soapy water under a tap. Do check the hotness of water because if you wash your glasses with much hot water then coating of lenses might get damaged. Rinse your glasses properly, when you are drying them with a tissue or soft cloth then make sure you hold by the edges of lenses or frame. If you are using a lens cloth to dry them then make sure it's tidy otherwise your spectacle's lenses may get scratches.
