LIGHT THERAPY PRODUCT REVIEWS - BEST PRODUCTS DL930 Day-Light 10,000 Lux SAD Lamp, SunTouch Plus and Philips goLITE BLU Light

Do you feel like dancing and whistling happy tunes during cloudy days? Me neither. Light is nature's stimulant. That's why we feel great during bright sunny days. The light triggers our bodies to release "active" hormones, and we feel wonderful. But winter can be a challenge. The days are shorter! It feels like we just turned around and it's nighttime already. Without the normal light stimulation, we often feel down, lethargic or sad. Light therapy is the solution.

Light therapy provides a natural boost that helps us feel better, increases energy and even helps us sleep. With light therapy, we can trigger our active hormones naturally, boosting our mood and beat winter blues and those down feelings during cloudy days.

Philips goLITE BLU Light Therapy Device

by Philips

I believe Philips goLITE BLU Light Therapy Device is the best new product in the market. It is the number-one energy light sold worldwide. It is clinically proven to naturally boost your mood and energy and fight winter blues in as little as 15 minutes a day.

It was noted before that white light was the only light proven for it's effective in light therapy. However Philips goLITE BLU has been clinically proven that just as little as 15 minutes of light therapy each day using Philips goLITE BLU can significantly reduce symptoms of the winter blues.

Philips and the National Sleep Foundation are helping you to sleep smart, wake smart, and live smart. Philips goLITE BLU is the official light therapy product of the National Sleep Foundation.

Philips goLITE BLU features an easy-to-use touch screen and a digital backlit clock with timer. This, I believe, is a great feature as you can set it to turn on at a specified time each day and for a specific duration - from 1 to 60 minutes, or you can turn it on whenever you need energizing light therapy.

One of the best feature of Philips goLITE BLU Plus is that it is compact, unobtrusive, and portable. And because the light box is powered by a rechargeable battery, it is easy to take wherever you need it... at home, in the office, or on the go.

Product features:

  • Clinically proven to boost mood and energy and fight winter blues
  • Advanced Bluewave technology for results in as little as 15 to 45 minutes a day
  • Wide field of illumination allows you the freedom to engage in other activities
  • Touchscreen display lets you set timer and brightness to customize your light exposure
  • Rechargeable for use anywhere
  • Safe to use and UV free
  • 45-day money back guarantee
  • backed by a two-year warranty.

Hiya my dear friend Jackie, I don't think the flashlight will work. In doing this hub, I did some research and the light emitting from ordinary bulbs are not the same as that emitted by light therapy products. There are cheaper products in the market, but these two are clinically proven and that both have customer reviews for their effectiveness. I'm glad you like it. This is what I'm doing now.. sell.. sell.. sell. If amazon has it, I'll sell it. lol

    Have a nice day,

    Rosie

Rosie2010, I am going to save this hub and invest in one light. I was told that to put a flash light, on your forehead at bedtime and turn it on and put it in the middle of your forehead for three minutes. Do you agree this may help the winter blues? I am trying it. I live in Chicago IL area suburbs and I need all the light possible. Great writing!!

Hiya Pamela, you live in Florida? Oh you lucky ducky! I was in St. Pete November last year, can't wait to go back. No, you sure don't need light therapy over there. But in Toronto, where the weather is: almost winter, winter, still winter and winter is coming... we definitely need some light!!! lol

    Have a nice day,

    Rosie

Since I live in FL it is not an issue for us, but I think it is a great idea for those that live in the cloudy areas of the north.
