What is the best way to reference another writer's work and information from other websites?
What is the best method to reference information from websites such as: "The U.S. Census," or "The Department of Health?"
look up writing styles and citing references. There are some websites that will even do that for free. If you are citing a source, you put a mark in the article where the sourced material is cited and then place a link at the bottom of your article. There are also some other rules. If it is a direct quote be sure you put quotes around the other authors words as in Dr soandso from the Medical Association states "insert his exact words here" and ALSO put a link to the source at the bottom. Otherwise if you are rewriting fully in your own words, but including ideas from others, you just cite it at the bottom of your article. It's very important with direct quotes to cite in your article and at the bottom.

In the past for my articles I've used regular hyperlinks to sources for information referenced. But because these can change or disappear, creating broken links (typically with no other reference citation), just to cite sources of information I've started using endnotes instead, with the links in...

I really want to speak to the editor that wrote this but there doesn't seem to be any way to contact them. I submitted an article for the niche site and I was just told "please incorporate sources at the bottom of your article for facts/stats that aren't commonly found." I would like to...

Hi all!I had a Amazon product link removed because apparently it didn't meet the necessary requirements. The link went out to the book I have used as a reference in the article and have paraphrased the authors' statements. Doesn't this imply that I have personally used this book? I own this book...

This is another question I couldn't find an answer to, perhaps because it's pretty random/specific.I came across an article (about how women think) to which I have very strong opposing viewpoints. Would it be in violation of HP rules to compose an article of my own combating the views expressed by...

Okay...I know it probably isn't a big deal, but one of my Hubs was listed as an "Reference" on a Wikipedia article.I've had that happen with blogs before, but this is my first Wiki link to a Hub. It just made me feel good that someone felt one of my Hubs was good enough to use as source...
