What have you done to "take that yoke from your neck?"

The world economy, with some local exceptions, has been in a stall for the past 5 years. Businesses, employees - everyone has been affected by the stagnation in some form or another. This can be very stressful for many people. What are you doing to take action to relieve the stress and maintain a positive mental attitude?

My faith.  It is that simple.  I have a peace that no matter what happens, God is in control and He is a great pilot.

I also use common sense and can be very frugal at times.  Taking the challenge to cut corners is kind of like writing. I make a lot of my household products for example.

We can choose to be creative or crash under the pressure and I choose creativity!

    Great question by the way.

I agree totally, and that is where I find my comfort. I also feel like I need to do what I can, as you describe, to keep myself from problems. BUT, being human, problems come. Prayer offers comfort and often direction, action is up to us.

IF YOU ARE TROUBLED TODAY, I highly recommend THE ENCOURAGERS song I'LL GO WITH YOU.  It is a beautiful song and can be found on YouTube.  I love playing my dobro or autoharp when I'm stressed!

Correction is the way of Life. Neither good times nor bad times can sustain for long. Nature plays its own role nature is not the creation of man but HIS beautiful creation. How can HE tolerate such situations any more. Never forget HE is within us, you and me.

Do you keep your eye on a prize, a goal? I wholly agree with your sentiments. Peace inside is important - I am interested in seeing how others release what is holding them back. Debt, is one of course. Other sins of the heart, on the job, what then?

Yes, I do have a yoke upon my neck. It is a very heavy yoke, a yoke that one could never bear alone. It will be with me until I reach the grave. It gets heavier and heavier, as I go, and as I get older. But I do not bear it alone. I share it. One has to learn, or come up with ways to share, his or her yoke. I like what Jesus said, concerning the sharing of his yoke.
    Jesus said,
    "Come unto me,
    all you that labor
    and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
    Take my yoke upon you,
    and learn of me;
    for I am meek
    and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
    For my yoke is easy,
    and my burden is light."
Now, be careful. The Bible also talks about the danger of being unequally yoked to someone. It can be a horror, to be unequally yoked.
Now, being yoked to Jesus is not bad, because he will carry most of the load for you, actually, he will carry you and the load. But that's Jesus. People are just that, human beings, so be careful.
    Regards,
    Dr. Haddox

Is it up to you to lose the yoke you carry to the Lord, or up to the Lord to accept your yoke for you? If you accept more responsibility at work, or have children, or challenge your abilities to the highest level, and fall short. Is there a burden?

Living one day at a time, but always with eyes on the future.
We do not know what we will be able to happen tomorrow.
Positive thinking is the most important.

Hiding under the anointing of the Almighty God breaks every yoke, seen and unseen.

He said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matt. 11:28-29

So, what am I doing the relieve the stress? Trust in the Lord, even though I sometimes feel like I'm up against a wall, He's there. He cares. He listens. And, working all things for my good.

Stay blessed, and keep your eyes on heaven.

Agreed and accepted! What do you do to challenge yourself and what happens when you fall short of your own expectations?
