Can you name one good thing Barack Obama has done for our country?

With gas prices high, ongoing wars, the highest amount of people collecting welfare in history, and a failure to report accurate unemployments numbers any good that may be done will be over shadowed by the bad. Can you think of any good things he has done?

Remove Osama Bin Laden, and that's not from an American that's from an Englishman!

He got Bin-laden, Brought home my friends and relatives in Iraq, Provided Obamacare that will save the life of one of my friends (something which is also appreciated by his wife and three young children), Got rid of "Don't ask don't tell" the law making it necessary for the people defending our country with their lives to hide their sexuality and many many more things that I won't list here

Everything he's done in our country has been good for it. None of what you listed is his doing. He's helping us recover from Buscho.. ..Recover from 30 years  of the politics of greed, hate and division, which still maintains a strong foot-hold.

lovemychris- Since you say none of the things listed are his fault then we can ration that none of the things that happened during Bush's term were his fault right?

he showed the world that not everyone in the U.S. is a heartless bully. i think he has put a bit of faith back into the U.S. from the reat of the world. your economic problems, if you new anything about economics were caused by the mighty Bush administration, not Obama. i'm amazed at how few republicans want to admit this. if you would have had another republican running your country after Bush, seriously, you folks would never recover.peeples, you are barking up the wrong tree. even my country was giving up on Bush and his boys.

    Q: Who Controls Gas Prices?
A: It's publicly traded on a Global Market, So if you have a problem with Gas Prices, take it up with the people who keep trading it at higher prices.

Q: Who has the power over war?
A: Contrary to popular belief, The President does not have the power to declare war, that is on Congress. Got a problem with the wars? Take it up with congress.

Q: Who controls who goes on welfare?
A: This is the realm of the business owners. They've continued to lay people off, even though for the last 2 years it has gotten better. Fact is that this is something squarely on the shoulders of every business owner in America.

Q: Why did Obama report inaccurate unemployment numbers?
A: He hasn't failed to report anything accurately. Contrary to Romney's smear campaign on this matter, Obama's numbers were dead accurate. Romney's numbers on the other hand took into account those who were physically and mentally disabled and therefore unable to work, and much more.

You should get your facts straight instead of listening to what other people say. A good site to do this from would be http://www.factchecker.org. This just address's the few issues you brought up here, but please don't start hating on someone if your not going to bother checking things yourself first.

Actually, this question begs another question and that is, Can you name one thing that the American people, in general, have done for our country during recent years?

As examples, have large numbers of Americans organized themselves to come up with solutions to the profound problems that exist in many of the public schools? Have they banded together to discourage youngers from using drugs and being members of vicious street gangs? Have they been pooling their resources to clean up and rebuild impoverished rundown urban areas? Have sizable factions of ambitious individuals come together to move America beyond its current social and economic problems by establishing and carrying out a bold new movement based entirely on unlimited enterprise, capitalism, self-determination and self-reliance?

In other words, this is the United States of America -- The Land of the Free and The Home of the Brave. This is NOT supposed to be a place in which the people sit around and wait for a president to do "good things."

"We, The People," have everything it takes to do all of the "good things" ourselves.

However, the problem today is, far too many Americans think and behave like cerfs and slaves.

He's been supportive of the environment. He started energy conservation in government buildings and provided funding for it, and is supporting the development of new clean energy technologies. He's set stricter mileage standards on vehicles, and done what he could to prevent Big Oil from starting more and more destructive projects. He could have done a lot more, but at least this much is something.

You forgot to mention how millions of dollars that were invested into green companies had gone bankrupt.

Let's see...he made people who didn't respect or like us respect and like us even less, helped his supporters rob the taxpayers as repayment fortheir support (solandra, for one), did not get bin laden, Team Six di, and would have regardless of who was president, and by stopping the keystone pipeline and allowing the fewest permits for drilling on federal lands in recent history, in addition t pursuing alternatives, yes, he did affect the price of oil. Oh yeah, Obama doesn't bother with congress for his military actions either. He has the UN and NATO for that. Check your facts. And Gallup Poll #'s (not Romney) report a real unemployment rate of 10.1 %, and about 20 % if you include the under-employed. But Obama did change who was counted and how. After all, ter eis an election coming, and he can't do everything by executive order or recess appointments. Heres hope that America will do something for itself, and get rid of the socialist.

I can only name one thing he has done that was good for our country.  He gave the order to the Navy Seals to shoot the Somali pirates who were holding Captain Richard Phillips, saving his life after he risked it for his crew.

As far as Bin Ladin, I'm not convinced that story is completely true.

The road repairs in SoCal are funded by the government, passed by Obama.
Most people don't realize that quite a few projects around the country, operating under various names, were started by Obama early on
