Yes, I do.
But I also need to learn to accept that confrontation is an inevitable part of life. Without it, the world would not progress the way it does.
Dreading is what makes it so miserable. Once it begins it gets so much easier for me. I spent so much effort on dreading it, than it really deserved.
Confrontation is there to help us learn how to use our emotions/feelings properly, & to understand & realise that we create them ourselves..The next time your confronted thank them inside for the opportunity to practice, & make sure you p
I believe we all want "smooth sailing" in our lives!
Not many people wake up in the morning looking forward to duking it out with someone. I dread confrontation but I'm not afraid of it.
Anytime one has self-esteem, principles, boundaries, or "deal breakers" they are likely to encounter people who will challenge or test them from time to time. Not speaking up often leads to regret.
You have to stick up for whatever you believe is right. I believe each time you don't you silently lose a little piece of yourself.
Try to look at it like this Penny your'l always dread confrontation, until you learn how to deal with confrontation..If you know you dread something you remind yourself with feelings of dread, your giving them to yourself to help you realise it's something you need to work on about yourself..Then you can start to look at a confrontation as a chance to learn how to deal with confrontation, & so use those people who confront you for your own emotions & feelings practice..The way to remove repetitive negative unwanted thoughts of confrontation fear etc, is mindful distraction practice & mindful meditation..You can get to the bottom of all your unwanted negative emotions & feelings once & for all, & realise so much about other people at the same time, & only takes a good few months not years. :-)
People that avoid confrontation are usually the ones that are stressing themselves out, spreading negative gossip and lying a lot. A person I know that does not like confrontation lies a lot and says bad things about people when they are not around. Often she will deal with problems by putting up with them.
I don't like confrontation but I don't dread it. It can be useful. I prefer to be confrontational when I think it will help. That way I deal with it and move on. I would rather a person confront me than lie to me.
It can be unpleasant or uncomfortable, as it exposes your inner weaknesses, the same thing I was saying in a different way in a previous answer. Confrontation creates fear as well as pain, anger and issues with ego, to name a few.
Do you think that Christ dreaded confrontation? if not, why not? Worth reflection.

What is the question you dread the most?I hate it when someone asks me "How old do you think I am?" I am not good in guessing people's ages. What if I say 50 and the person is only 40.. OMG! that would hurt the person's feelings and I certainly don't want to do that.. so I try...

regardless of anything Iran does or doesn't do, before he leaves his office? My opinion, he's stepping up media agitprop the way he did on Iraq before he invaded that sovereign nation. I think he'll do it and I think not only will he, my stupid Dem Congress will gesture and throw their hands...
