wiserworld....There are plenty of claims from various sources which attest to positive weight loss results by consuming coconut oil, used in cooking or poured on salads & even simply swallowing a teaspoon full 2 to 3 times a day (no more than 2 tablespoons per 24 hrs.)
As to~if this is factual, authentic information, it would seem to me that each individual needs to discover this on their own, by trying a diet that includes coconut oil, used as suggested.
While I always have coconut oil on hand, I use it mostly for cosmetic purposes, which I believe is extremely useful, healthy & healing to our skin. A few times I have also made a coconut chicken recipe which was YUMMY. I have not however attempted to use this oil for weight loss.....mainly because my weight is A-OK. ...For now.
