Save several website URLs of tropical paradise locations under your favorites which will allow you to "check out" several times during the day. It also wouldn't hurt to have a summer type of screen saver on your computer as well as well as listen to songs that remind you of summer. Another thing one can do is find a sight that has daily countdown timer.
    http://www.timeanddate.com/counters/customcount.html

You can also download the counter and imput either March 21st for Spring or June 21st for Summer. Each day you log on it will tell you how many days you have left until the magic day arrives. Every hour, day, week, and month brings you closer! :-)

For myself I would rather stay in a winter state of mind in the midst of the hot, sticky, and humid weather of the summer.  In the summer I crank up the air conditioning to stay cold and I stay in the house mostly.  So if you are the opposite of myself just crank up the heat!!  lol smile

I just wrote a poem called, "Terlingua Paradise" that you might try reading. I think it has some attributes that will help you forget the cold.  Oh...and it has some Johnny Cash too! LOL! WB

Move (somewhat against your will) to southern Arizona. Though fair warning must be given, you'll miss the snow... to a point.

We recently had several snowstorms here in Michigan. In fact, it has not stopped snowing along Michigan's west coast for a few weeks now. But, they always get lake effect snowstorms there.
Also, the last couple days here have been below 20 degrees. I was driving through Lansing Michigan, and the high was -1.

So, what I usually do is start planning for summer. I also visit my favorite summer vacation websites, and spend some time on theme park review or youtube looking at amusement park videos, or reliving summer for some of my own videos on youtube.

I also chat a lot with my camping buddies, and we usually end up talking about the Mistakes we are praying we will not make next summer, like not forgetting to bring sunscreen, bugspray, and matches so we can start our campfires. And, hope that we are available for the best weekends.

Anything to take my mind off the snow.

As I'm responding to this question now, on the 22nd of December on the east coast of the U.S., I am wearing my Hawaiian shirt.
This and maybe a load of Jimmy Buffet while reading Earnest Hemingway sitting under a sun lamp, lol.

This December is set to be the coldest December since 1910 here in the UK, thoughts of Summer are prevalent when looking through Holiday Brochures and planning ahead whilst the central heating thermostat is on Max.

Please try and understand ... The Human Mind, is our Awareness ... in Being ...

Therefore, Mind, is synonemous, with Life... You are, what you are, because of the State of your Mind.
And Life is not a smooth sailing all the way ... Life is a Test, and there are many ups and downs in life ... these ups and downs are life.

The Mind Hath been Granted by God to the humans... It is our Comprehender, of Creation ...

Thus, Mind, can Define All ... Everything ... Physical and Ideal.

But in order to have the Proper Perspective, in Life ...  meaning, Ability to know the Reality ... we have to Know the Truth ...

And we can Know the Truth, by two ways ... either by long drawn, what to most are impossible Experimentations ... or by simply Believing in God.

Once we Believe truly, we are made to Know the Truth ... and Our Mind gets into the Right State of Mind ... the Buddhists call it Nirwana ... The Hindus call it Mukti and Christians call it Salvation.

Islam is the shortest way to The Right State of Human Mind ... to Happiness, Freedom, Knowledge and Understanding.

I invite you to try ...
