as far as exercise goes, swimming is a whole-body workout. As well as the cardiovascular system, every muscle group is engaged.
Also it's non-impact exercise, so people with injuries can utilise it as part of a rehabilitation program. There's no jarring of the joints as might be an issue with running, for example.
i like swimming b/c i can have a whole-body workout. i specifically like chlorin8ed pools due 2 the cleansing effect it has on the skin. the chlorine can help loosen old, dead skin so u can shower it off after swimming. i always feel so good after swimming
