Why are some days so much easier to exercise than others?

What are the factors that affect how easy or difficult an exercise is one day than the next?

Two things factor in for me and that is how well I feel and what type weather it is, well if you mean exercise outside that is; which I do.

Good point Jackie that our wellness affects the ease or difficulty of the activity. I do like to exercise outside too - nature inspires!

I think it depends on the day of the week and rest.  I workout Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  Legs exercises such as squats, leg extensions, leg curls and leg presses work better for me during the first workout day (Tuesday) because I've had two days of rest.  If I try to work them on Thursday or Saturday, it can be a little harder for me.  It also depends on your workout schedule and what your body is used to.

You have a structured routine and that's good. It likely becomes natural to workout on those days. Thanks for sharing the tips!

I think if you have a routine of so many days a week for exercise you will rise to the occasion.  However, there are some days when I feel on overload and just don't want to exercise.  And there is weather to consider also.

Carol, so you think a routine helps then? I try to exercise three days a week at minimum but don't have set days. I wonder if I should do that. Thanks hon!

I believe it has to do with mood and motivation. I'm a nutritionist and personal trainer by trade, and I still have days like this. What makes me do it is to schedule it like I would any other important appointment within business, health, etc.
