    It depends if it is from your diest or inherited?  If it's from your diet eat healtier, exercise, use natural herbs.   In herited is a different story, talk to your doctor about both

    if you ask a doctor he will say, statins, herbalists will probably say oats or barley, they both contain soluble fibre that is said to lower cholesterol.  I read a book once about some bloke who lowered his cholesterol buy making and eating oatcakes or buns, I think it was called something like the Eight week Cholesterol Diet?
