Vitiligo occurs when melanocytes are destroyed in the skin. Michael Jackson was thought by many to have this condition. It can affect people of any ancestry.
No, it is not infectious. Relatives may be affected, but this has to do more with sharing the same environmental/genetic background, than being something that could be transmitted.
