Why do some people never let go?
Some people never let go even when you are out of sight and out of mind they insist on still bringing you up and talking or blogging about you.
They are holding onto a fiction. When you enter a relationship, you create a character for your partner in your head, based upon the good things that you love about them. When things change, as they so often do, it is this fantasy which endures. And when the person is gone, you cling onto your own invention ...
I agree more with Faerie on this, it’s usually over unfinished business. We as units and groups do not always get to end things on our terms. Precipitous circumstances can rip apart what may have been normal. If you feel like you never received the chance for something to play out, then of course it would naturally lead to endless question and curiosity. We all know how curiosity can become a passion and distraction.
