There is nothing wrong in falling asleep during meditation. It just means that brain requires - sleep and much slower brain waves then one is able to produce during the meditation.
Answer on your question: Not too often, but when I am tired, I do fall asleep and sleep much better, then I would sleep if I did not start with meditation at the first place. There were also periods when I was not able to meditate a lot,without falling asleep because I primarly needed sleep for full brain-regeneration, not meditation.
