Could a broken hip be treated without surgery?
My mother broker her right hip 3 months ago. Had received surgery &the right hip was doing well & she was undergoing therapy, walking on the repaired hip with a walker. 2 motnhs later she fell and broke her left hip. At the hospital the surgeons said she was weakl from her earlier surgery refused to operate. the left femur was broekn several inches below the ball and was very close to being aligned properly. Would the hip repair itself without surgery? If she had been kept in bed with a hip cushion, would the bone start to mend. Later, would it have been possible to sit in a wheelchair?
