You will find many people who suffer from recurrent red blotches on skin. In case you are one of them, you might be wondering what could be the possible cause. The major reason behind its occurrence is allergies against some chemical present in the skin care products currently in use. This allergy can also be against some substance that you touch, inhale or ingest. Sun exposure can also spark the onset of red spots on skin. Check if you develop it on your face or elsewhere after spending long hours in sun. If yes, you have your answer and solution, i.e, avoid or reduce the period of sun exposure. Birth control pills and antibiotics can elevate the chances of red blotches due to sun exposure. There can be some skin disorders that can give rise to itchy red blotches on skin. The most common among them are eczema and rosacea.
