Why do we do this?

I'm just wondering what is the reason we wake up with headaches at times.  It has happened to me a few times but I have no idea why? Is my brain just working over time at night sometimes or is there a medical reason why I suffer from headaches in the morning at times?
    It's really weird.

Sometimes the microchip the gov. secretly put in your brain doesn't fit quite right. Just respond to Obama's spam email and let them know you are in favor of 'health reform' and they'll get you fixed right up.

Could be potassium level, water level, sleep apnea, there are so many different things try a nice lavender bath for relaxation and go to sleep an hour earlier. Just a suggestion it has worked for me. smile

If you're clinically ok, then it might be anxiety related. You might be overstressed. Take a break! smile

Are you drinking enough water?  Dehydration can give you a headache.  Check your pee - it should be pale straw colour.  If it's dark you're not drinking enough, if it's clear you're drinking too much (which can also cause headaches).

A headache can also be caused by a stiff neck - are you sleeping with your neck twisted?

Where is the headache exactly?  If it's more of a face ache than a headache, it could be your sinuses.  Try some eucalyptus on your pillow at night.

I didn't think about the water thing. I always thought I drank enough water...that could possibly be it.

And it's always towards teh front of my skull. and no no stiff neck, thankfully. Haven't had one of those in quite a while.

You should see your Dr., seriously. I would never advise anyone with this sort of problem. I am not an MD. Really, go to your MD. It could be something medical or something in your home.

ooo...thanks ralwus....but it has only happened maybe three times and over the past few months. But I guess I'll go to the doctor's then lol

Thank you Crazd. Yeah I would seek a medical opinion and it may be it is nothing, but you never know. Yeah, I change my avatar once in awhile and the bird is my Parrot Jado. Be safe now and peace

Thanks ralwus. I will go to the doctors...once I do find one close to my apartment...it's annoying dealing with tricare lol

And tell Jado I said hi :-)

Well I have trouble with my provider too at times and all the BS with it. We all do it seems. I will speak to Jado of you and show him you picture tomorrow as he is asleep now and all covered up. He does like to be on my shoulder when I write or do other things on the PC. He really likes music and sings along. I'm off to bed myself now. so hugs and bless you. Sleep well. CC

It could be caused by sleeping the wrong way.  (If I fall asleep on a certain chair with a hard arm on it, and if my head is a certain way, I'll wake up with a nasty headache.)

Maybe low blood sugar?  (If you search, "low blood sugar and headache" you'll come up with more info.

Maybe sinuses get blocked in the night?  (Blocked sinuses can exist without having a stuffy nose.)

Maybe caffeine withdrawal (if someone takes in caffeine at certain times of day but would be withdrawing by the next morning)

There are lots of other possible reasons.  Those are the ones I know about.

    Thanks Lisa.

And I should seriously get a video camera and tape myself on how I sleep....then maybe I'll know for sure if I am sleeping wrong and that be the root of my headaches.

I'll definitely check out the sinus and low blood sugar too.
