Has anybody here ever had a cough that's lasted more than 3 months?
I have, right now, and It's seriously driving me...mad! Arrrrg
First, see a Doctor in regards to your cough......
A continuous cough can be a caused by many things and the Doctor can run some tests to see what's causing it...You didn't mention much about the cough.....Is it a dry or wet cough?? Do you produce phlegm? What color is the phlegm?? Have you coughed up any blood.....Do you have a fever or night sweats?
These questions will help your doctor to diagnose your cough.....
If you answered no to the questions above then it might be that your lungs are just irritated do to smoke, allergies, asthma and some medicines can even cause a chronic cough.......That's why I recommend the Doctor’s appointment so you can get a proper diagnoses......
Well I have been on a couple of different antibiotics prescribed by the doctor and they have done nada except make my mouth taste like metal. So I think he's going to make me get a chest X ray ahhh so freaky.
My cough was dry but now phegmy, I don't think I have coughed up blood and I don't have TB.
I think It's probably a result from wood dust. I was sanding some wood 3 months ago and spray painting the wood (wearing a mask!) then I got this awful thing...I'm about to go insane.
i did last year. i got sick from methane gas and it gave me the sniffles and a cough for at least half a year and it sucks.
I took a prescription drug for high blood pressure once. The side effect was a continuous cough! Took me months to figure it out. My doctor spotted it during a routine check up and took me off the med. Cough went away.
Get it checked out!
i had bad cough for four months and i was prescribed by antibiotics but then a chest specialist diagnosed me having Allergy rhinitis and coughing and i was also diagnosed having mild asthma .He immediately stopped my antibiotics and gave me anti alllergics with bronchodilator pumps which i used for four months continuously.I am now perfectly alright.
If you're a smoker, it's probably what they call "Smoker's Cough". I hope you're not.
I did once - finally went to the doctor and they gave me two antibiotic shots in the rump two days in a row. I still had to take a complete round of oral antibiotics. The doc really lectured me about not coming sooner - he said I should have come in after 14 days of having the cough. I thought it was just allergies or something.

Do you think the doctor should tell an elderly that she has 2 to 3 months to live?? I ask this...as I have seen my Grandmother give up because of it. She will now say, "another week has passed," and I can see in her brilliant blue eyes that she is always thinking...I wish the doctor...
