"Allow" this? That's a strong word. Sorry, I am a firm believer in equal rights for parents. Seeing the birth of a child should be the father's right. Once the child is conceived, it's about the child...regardless if the parents are no longer together. Make this about the baby.
Are you frightened to say, pregnant, is it, somehow, hush-hush, a dirty word.
I saw all my children born, just a function of the female body, it wasn't particularly inspiring other than my wife took comfort from it and it seemed to give her more confidence.
