If you experience really really severe stress, yes, it could end tragically.
However most of the stress that we experience is not of such high an intensity. That said, prolonged stress is not healthy for the body at all.
Yes you can. Stress can cause heartattacks which can lead to death. It can cause you to have a brain aneurysm. It can cause depression, lead you to have Panic Attacks which can weaken your heart and eventually cause you to have a heart attack. I can go on and on.
