    Pain management

    My life fell off a cliff literally! I lost everything with in a year including my house.
    At any rate I hit rock bottom and I literally tried to drink myself to death so I wouldn't have to think of what was going on in my life. I ended up getting Chronic Pancreatitis. I now take pain med all the time and am looked at like I am a drug addict or get doctors who have no remorse because I did it to myself(i dont need it trown in my face,I live with the choices I made) My question is do you happen to know any good pain mngt Doctors? one that will worry aboout my pain and not what I did in my past?

    Actually, you may want to look into getting a psychiatrist, sometimes they can actually help with your state of mind, which also controls your pain.
    Its never a bad thing to get psychiatric help, because it shows you want to fight, and you want to show that you are strong and can move on.

    thats exactly what i did Lorrees, i saw one for over two years. the comment i made above about my life falling off a cliff happened about 5 or 6 years ago. the funny part of your statement is..i hva e moved on, it seems that my doctor that i am/was seeing hasn't. That why i was asking for a good pain specialist..they kind of do that to in there own ways(reach into your psyci). You could be skipping through a field of flowers as happy as you have ever been and you will still be in pain with pancreatitis.
