Why is it so hard to get Veterans Benefits when you are a Vietnam Era Veteran?
Having been denied 3 times, I am now again waiting for an answer so I can get the medical diagnosis and treatment I need.
It took a colleague of mine almost 30 YEARS to receive full disability VA Benefits and treatment for his injuries in the Viet Nam Conflict. He kept trying to work and kept getting worse --
Whatever the reasons for the delay to the veterans of their benefits, I have to say that it may involve the conflict being an unpopular, undeclared war and the fact that the Baby Boomers in that military service are not only retiring from work and receiving SS, but also dying as senior citizens -- and each death - sorry, but true - reduces the money the VA must yield. In this way, red tape delay saves money as a side effect.

Should veterans lose government assistance after committing certain crimes?I understand respecting those who fight for our country, but should a veteran rapist really get free health care?
