This is a question for those of faith. What kind of hell do you all believe in? LIteral,or symbolic
or another thing, do you believe there's a hell at all, give me your thoughts on the matter everybody
Since I have been to the other side of death in a vision that GOD shown me on August 1, 1982 A.D. a Sunday morning you can bet your life on it that hell is real and do not go to hell because it is" as hot as hell there." A little sense of humor there.
As a Wiccan I do not believe in heaven or hell only a change in the energy. We die and simply move into another state of being, as to what that is or isn't I will find out then and feel it is arrogant and self-assuming of me to guess. The powers that be know what they are doing and I trust them.
Interesting, so you believe in reincarnation in a sense, your reborn in a different form, you just don't what that form is, it may of this physical world or of another world, so you don't believe in an eternal state of being in one place,(that being heaven or hell)
I believe that there is a hell. Intellectually, I know that it will be the most horrible thing ever, but I can't possibly image what hell or heaven for that matter would be like. It's truly beyond our comprehension. The different possibilities are endless. It could have different laws of physics, different dimmensions, etc.
As a Christian, I must consider what the Holy Bible has to say on the subject, and in Scripture, hell is defined as an actual place, a lake of fire. Now, I do believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God as dictated by the authors of the Old & New Testament. I do believe the Word of God is both literal and figurative. I also believe proper interpretation of the Scriptures must consider relativity with regard to the authors, who in prophecy, were usually describing future events, machines, cultures, communication systems, et. al., for which they had no frame of reference. I personally believe that hell is a place in the human psyche where existence seems apparent, but may not be. Furthermore, there is a complete absence of the Divine. For me, to exist without God must be worse than no existence, because in the case of the latter, all pain is gone. But in the case of the former, suffering is real, punative and infinite. Eternal aloneness...that's my hell, and surely it would burn deeply into my soul.

Do you believe non-religious people, who lead a good life, are still going to hell? One of my biggest frustrations with religion is the idea that, how you live your life is of no consequence if you do not accept god. For example, John Smith is a good christian man who helps people, obeys the law and...

If you don't believe in Satan, does that mean you won't go to hell?In many other questions and answers, I've read that if you don't have faith in God, you can't go to heaven.

Do you agree with this? It seems to me that some of the holier than thou christians on this site legitimately believe with all their heart that those who do not believe in their god will have special front row tickets to hell/eternal punishment, yet still try to play off that their god is just and...

For as long as religion existed, there has always been the threat of torture in the afterlife (unless you subscribe to *insert religion here* and convert today!), but when you actually think about it and apply a single brain cell to the idea, it doesn't make any kind of sense at all. Given that I...
