How long does it take for type 2 diabetes to come under control?

I have type 2 diabetes and my numbers are all over the place. I'm supposed to see the specialist in Sept. but I need some relief right now. Any suggestions? Am I abnormal?

Type 2 diabetes is caused by one thing and one thing only, Fat tissue. The fat tissue releases something (what is released is not yet understood) which causes the insulin door channels to loose it's structure. Structure is function and because the door has lost it's structure, insulin isn't able to open it which is what type 2 diabetes is.

The CURE to type 2 diabetes is loosing the weight. in every case 99.9999%, if you loose enough weight, type 2 diabetes goes away.

    Good luck!

Type 2 diabetes is also called Non-Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus. Usually, can be healed by controlling diets, physical exercises, and sulfonylureas. However, since Beta cells get disordered, cancer could be caused if it cannot be controlled.

Recent years, some new ideas about type 2 diabetes think that it is not caused by insulin but by blood circulation and liver function. So, these causes of disease may should be noticed.

    I cannot say "how long".

This would be different for each person as everyones body reacts differently to the environment and to changes.  If you are following a healthy diet geared for diabetes and excercising thirty minutes every day you should be feeling better within two weeks and even great within a month or two.  Once you stop eating the refined sugar, the white bread, the white flour and all the junk food, the sugar drinks etc. and begin to eat fresh fruit and veggies along with nuts and drink plenty of water you will find your body turns around to feeling healthy rather quickly.  Of course this varies quite a bit from person to person.  It mostly depends on how serious you follow the good diet and excercise routine.  Also get plenty of sleep at least eight hours every night as stress aggravates diabetes.

First of all, you are not an abnormal person.Diabetes are so common disease.Majority of people are suffering from this, due to mainly stress and some other reasons also. But you can always control it by following yoga with Pranayam(Breathing Exercise) and by doing some special asans.Of course, take the medicine prescribed to you by your physician.
I prefer Ayurveda over Allopathy, so, what I would recommend is Yoga.Do Kapalbhati pranayam everyday under the supervision of experts, and check your sugar everyday.Your sugar level will come down..

Mandukasana is very good for people suffering from Diabetes. So, browse following site for this. All instructions are given there with images. So, It will be very helpful to you.

Regarding diet don't eat sugar and sweet fruits.Try to omit potatoes also.Instead include leafy vegetables and salads.Eat citrous fruits and green apples.Kiwi is also good.Mix turmeric powder and dry Indian Goose berry powder in equal proportion(half teaspoon each) and take it with water on an empty stomach everyday. This is the best home remedy for diabetes.
