How do you lose weight when you don’t have time to exercise?
There are so many variables to losing weight and much depends on you and your current state. For a person that is quite overweight I would say they can lose weight without exercise at all and through a healthy diet alone. I would always recommend exercise for true health, but the fact is that you most certainly can move towards your ideal weight with a healthy diet. It will just take longer.
Start with eating habits. Just find one small thing to change at a time and make the change. Slow and steady will win the race. Don't go for big drastic changes.
When you know it is time for exercise, you just have to make the time. Do you watch a show on TV? If so, watch it on an exercise bike or treadmill. Do you eat lunch at work in a restaurant. Brown bag a quick lunch and take a walk for the rest of the hour. Just decide where you can fit something in. Don't worry if it is not 1 hour in a row. Four 15 minute things per day will make a difference.
It is best to make time. Even a 30 min walk 3 times a week is better than nothing because even if you manage your diet well, the body will lose muscle over time and it is much easier to maintain a lean body with the proper exercise and diet.
With that being said, you can lose weight without exercise by managing your diet. Find out how many calories you burn in a day and then plan a diet based on 500 less calories. Try and eat 5 times a day to keep your metabolism as high as it can get. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Eat a protein rich diet to maintain as much muscle as possible. Whole grains, omega 3's, all vitamins should be taken. Supplements may be necessary if you can't get them due to the calorie restriction.
Whatever you do don't stop eating all together or eat barely anything because that won't help too much. The metabolism will slow and it will become counterproductive and your body will start eating the muscle for energy.
If you take in less calories each day than your body requires, you will lose weight regardless of wether or not you exercise. Exercise simply increases the number of calories that your boby requires so that you can eat more and still lose weight. The problem with losing weight through exercise alone is that as soon as you quit you will gain it all back. Real, sustainable weight loss only comes by modifying your eating habits.
However, moderate sustainable exercise such as walking, bike riding, swimming or even bowling will improve your overall health and tighten up your body. Just don't increase your calorie intake to compensate. Losing weight requires, motivation, determination and patience.
Monitor your food more. Last year in Feb, I started eating fast-food from Chick-Fil-A, McDonald's, Popeyes, and chinese food. I would normally eat out at least once each day. After one year, I had gained 30 lbs. Last month, I decided to do something about my unwanted weight: watching my food intake. I'm a pretty lazy person, so I decided not to work out or stress myself to any extent. Now, I eat at home with more vegetables and fish sits on my plate 4 times a week. Though I only eat two meals a day. About twice or three times a week I eat out at Popeyes (the $2.49 deal) or eat pizza or go out to dinner with my partner. Since on this homemade "diet", I lost 7 lbs in a week and a half. After a month, 15 lbs. I have found a method I am comfortable with and will keep this method.
i don't care how busy you are, everyone has time to exercise. it can be as simple as doing leg raises while you are sitting on the computer, using the stairs instead of an elevator etc. saying you don't have the time is a cop-out, nothing more.
Being active is the most healthier way of loosing weight try to have more endurance type exercise for fat burn walking is one of the best exercise and better to do it for 30 minutes at least for 3 days in a week. Nevertheless if you do not have time to do all those limiting energy intake is the method left for you.
First calculate your ideal body weight that is the weight you should have according to the the gender and the height of you then multiply by 35kcal then you get the daily basal energy requirement for you. Try to have a energy intake lesser than that so that you wont gain much fat.
Try to have more bulky food which contain less energy. Specially eat less in night that is what i personally experience if you eat less in night there is lesser weight gain!
Minimize fat intake specially animal fat and refined carbohydrates. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits..
