Have you ever asked your doctor for a prescription drug you saw on TV
Pharmaceutical companies spend billions on advertising of prescription medications. Is this affecting the drugs doctors give patients?
Yes I have asked my doctor about some medicines I see on TV, and even those I see in the magazines. My doctor is kinda particular about what medicine I take especially because I have some allergies and so I don't take any medicine that she has not approved. Ads do play a role in introducing to us drugs that we might not know of but in the long run I do believe that what my doctor says about it goes a longer way with me. I don't know about other people though.
No. I let my doctor choose what he thinks is best for me as that is his job. I don;t want to compromise my care by recommending something that I know nothing about.
