If you are going through a rough period sometimes it's good to know of a situation where someone else not only experienced the same thing but came out the other side stronger and better. It's been said,
    "Success leaves clues"

I found that if you've gone through some trauma in your life, that you can then relate to what someone else is going through. For e.g. ex-dug addicts make very good anti-drug therapists. Same with alchoholics. That's what I meant, :-)

I find when reading hubs on problems or issues,
while it's nice to get helpful facts and information,
it puts a special spin on it if it's told from experience.

Just like a doctor who has had depression would understand much better since they had been in 'your' shoes.
