They basically mean the same thing.
Grief is a feeling of deep sadness caused by a loss or misfortune and I believe that sorrow can also include disappointment of something.
Grief is a sensation and also the process we go through, due usually, to a loss. This can be loss of a loved one including a pet, loss of a home, even loss of independance or a job. Grief and the grieving process will also include the feelings of sorrow. But Grief can also inlcude other feelings such as isolation, anger, loneliness and regret. Hope this helps a bit.

Is there a difference between feelings and emotions?I wonder if there's a difference between the meaning of the words FEELINGS and EMOTIONS? Can you use both words in similar situations? When I write, I just use the word that sounds best in my ears. English is not my first language.
