How Should An Old Mother With Stiff Fingers From Arthritis Open Her Tablet Bottles?
I worry very much about mother on the days none of her children or grandchildren is at home she may have to do without her medicine.
For my grandmother we have put all of her pills on one of those calendar pill box thing which works well for her. Another option is to find bottles or containers that are easy for her to open, label them clearly with what is inside and keep a supply of her meds in those so that she can get them herself
I work with seniors, and I have found that the easiest packaging by far is the punch card. There are several pharmacies here in Toledo that will place meds into the punch cards. Generally the meds are separated by day and time of day taken. These are not good for houses with kids, due to the ease with which the meds can be accessed.
