How is Shyness cured?
Is there a way to bring people 'out of their shell' so that shyness does not debilitate them?
As a person who grew up being timid and shy, I can assure you that it will be hard if the person doesn't want to change. But a good way to start would be to get them to talk about something they love (good movies or books, any hobbies, family member, beloved pet, cars, etc...). My best friend was always trying to push me out of my comfort zone and while I didn't like it at the time, I can now say I love her for that.
Talking to people is an important skill. Most jobs today require strong communication skills.
Say YES to opportunities, join clubs, be part of a team!
shyness is not really cured, just postponed,
by being around people you like and trust.
as for work, there is still the shyness. you just know you have a job to do. so the job,
becomes priority, over the shyness. but after work. the shyness is still there. it helps to have somone close help coakes you out, of your shy shell. someone you feel good about being around. it is never really cured, just a postponement, of the conversation starter.
