Does applying toothpaste on a pimple really get rid of the pimple overnight?

Kids these days are swearing on the "toothpaste magic."  Have you tried it?  Did it work on you?

Toothpaste do help to get rid of pimplesbut use it for a last option. It can act like a mask keeping impurities at bay from skin; it dries the skin which reduces the size of a pimple.Menthol present in the toothpaste make the skin too dry.If you want to use toothpaste use a herbal product like dabur ,vicc or meswak  or any other toothpaste that is a herbal product, never use the gel.Apply a small dab to the acne  or pimple, leave it overnight, and wash your face in the morning.
Though I would recommend Neosoprin powder for acne and pimples, tried and tested with positive results ,it dries the pimple or acne and shed it off leaving no scar, never pop them ,they become more painful and spread to other areas nearby .Toothpaste should be the last option to use.

I tried it before and it was even worse in the morning, A big red patch on my skin. But maybe it depends on you're skin type.

For me it works just fine. But I have very rare pimples. I can probably count the days I had pimples ever.

Yes it does help I used this home remedy many times as a teenager. Just regular white colgate, left on a zit helped alot. Dabbing with a q-tip dipped in alcohol will also help. Prevention is key, recent research suggests that a zinc difiecency is also a culprit in frequent breakouts as well. A combination of oatmeal, and citrus mask, once a week was also a regular regimen of mine. the recipe: … t-for.html

I have tried toothpaste on my face, but I did not see results over night.  However, toothpaste can be useful because of the tricoslan that dries out the pimple.  This takes more time than over night to take advantage of the full benefits.  Toothpaste also can redden or irritate the skin and it should not be used on damaged skin.
