Do you feel that kids with ADHD use medications to control their behaviors?
My son was diagnosed ADHD at 7 years old, after a long and very difficult time trying to find his way in life. He was subscribed Ritalin. At first I hated the idea of using a controlled substance to help my child with his difficulties. After all, I was against the use of drugs. After many months of coming to terms with what I was doing, the bonus was a very happy and intelligent young man who had a future. He is still a happy young man who is now a daddy himself, and with the possibility of my grandson having ADHD. He decided himself from the age of 17 not to take Ritalin any more, but will be the first to admit that it saved him from a very tough exchange of life through puberty and his school exams. I guess what I mean is, you have a choice and that choice is entirely as you see it. Net:)
