What are some causes of shoulder pain?
How do you know when to see a doctor if your shoulder hurts?
The causes of shoulder pain could be local which means the pain is from shoulder itself. The pain could generated from somewhere else, for example, neck, arm or from heart, gallbladder, liver. The brain interpreted the pain from shoulder, because the signals go to the same region in brain.
shoulder pain could be due to a probable fracture in the scapula or in the shoulder joint. It could also be secondary to musculoskeletal strain or a frozen shoulder. It could also be a referred pain in someone who has a heart attack or someone with gallbladder stones.
If you use your shoulder a lot, shoulder pain can simply be from overuse. For example, say you kickbox a lot, or play baseball, the constant rotation at the shoulder joint may make it sore there. Alternate exercises each day that do and do not work the shoulder joint/shoulder muscles to ease up on pain in the shoulder due to exercising.
