I think give and take probably means compromise, as in working out an amiable solution between two people with different opinions or agendas.
In all aspects of life, we are to give ( put out) our love, good will, give of ouselves..but..we must also take ( receive) something back ..it's a ying and yang philosophy..you get out what you put in...thus give and take of life...You give love to receive love..otherwise life is futile...just my thoughts.
For me this means -
There should be give and take in love
Give and take in sharing
Give and take in caring
Give and take in helping
Give and take in every little thing we do,
For this is what God wants us to do.
This is how the world goes on and on. We are human beings and sociable and life does not go on without give and take.

How do you deal with a change that was made to an article by an HP editor? They unnecessarily changed the title of the article, I'd like to change it back to what it was. Is that what everyone else does when this kind of thing happens? Curious.
