    Hi usmlefacts.
I live over here in Germany and suffer from reflux, and only last week I was by my house doctor and she gave me  - "OMEPRAZOL" it's made/comes from STADA. They call themslves "STADApharm" GmbH.  The Omeprazol is a small yellow capsule of 20mg. I got 50 capsules and take one a day and then go for an ENDOSCOPY in July, couldn't get in any sooner. May be if I went private, but thats to expensive.
Good luck, I know how you feel. Let me know how you get on.
    LOL Ghaelach

Generally, acid reflux can easily be prevented without medicine. The top tips are: 1) chew food slowly and well; 2) do not lie down too soon after eating; 3) do not overeat; 4) find what foods irritate you and avoid them; 5) eat a balanced diet with enough fiber; 6) take a calcium supplement if you need one.
