Get lots of rest.  Drink a lot of fluids.  stay warm and dry, which means stay in.

Of course, prevention is the key. Proper vitamins and eating the right foods

are essential. Aren't sure what they are? Any health food store and many newer

doctors may give you the information you need.  Flu shots are known to cause

flu in some patients and are usually recommended for the elderly. However,

mainstream medicine swears by  the shots. Learn all you can.  Granny was right.

Stay out of drafts.  Keep your hands clean and away from your nose and mouth.

Heat some whiskey and lemon on the stove.  Drink it and go to bed.  You will

sweat out the toxins and gunk that patent medicines hide and hold inside. You

will feel much better after a nice shower.

Keep up your fluid levels, so drink lots of water.
Add a soluable vitamin C tablett to a glass of water to boost your vitamin C levels.

Make a spice concoction and drink before going to sleep. In a pan of boiling water add 2 gloves, 2 pegs of garlic, a1/4 inch cinnamon stick. Boil for 5 minutes. Take pan off fire and pour water and contents into a mug/cup. Add the juice of 1/2 a lemon and 1-2 tsps of honey. Cover and let steep for 5 mins before drinking.

Drink homemade chicken soup to build up your strength and give natural penicillin.
