Like most people, I hate being sick. I usually try and stay away from anyone who I know is sick (unless one of my kids or grandkids need me). I also try not to touch my face after being out in a public place, like the grocery store. Once home, I wash my hands thoroughly in with soap and hot water. Other than that, there isn't much I can do.
I haven't had a cold in years and I figure I am likely due any time now!
I take about 10 grams of Vitamin C per day (spread out through the day not all at once) plus 2 B complex vitamins, among others. I take a large handful of vits about twice a day lol
I also workout at least 4-5 times per week. Getting your heart rate up forces immune cells to travel around the body much faster than usual.
If I do get sick, I double my Vit C intake, and I'm usually over it in about 48 hours. But I HATE getting sick. My hubby has gotte sick about 6 times in the past three months (yes, he's decided to start taking vit c lol). I haven't been sick in 2 years, and I don't catch hubby's colds or anything else he brings home from work!
I use Lysol disinfectant spray on all doorknobs, light swtiches, and anythying we touch on a daily basis in the house. Wash hands always after using the restroom. I also wash my hands after touching shopping carts, door handles, and other things in public. They have instant hand sanitizers too. Don't touch your face or eyes as less as possible.
Eat healthy and stay healthy. People who eat more of junk food prone to getting sick.....avoid all junk and fast food and live long life and stay fit
At my age, I am regular with supplements.
1. Vitamin C, B-Complex, Multi-vitamin
2. Omega 3 Fish Oil
3. Gingko
4. Herbal Tonic
5. High Calcium (1200gm)
6. Pandan Water
That's how to get to prevent myself falling ill. So far it has helped me for the last 20 years.
