Does anyone keep a dream journal/diary?

I don't keep a diary but I occasionally write down a good dream as a basis for a story.  However, my dad did that once - he woke up in the middle of a night after a brilliant dream - was anxious to write it all down before he forgot it, so did so - when he woke up in the morning, he eagerly went to look at his notes - goobledygook!!  Poor fellow, that must have been so annoying; don't think he remembered much about the dream either!

I used to. For a while I was attempting to lucid dream. My dreams have always been so fast and rapid so I wanted to be more aware while dreaming.

I've been meaning to. I have some great dreams that I like to use for stories.

I kept one for years but haven't for some time. I think a person can learn a lot about him or herself by considering the trend  or sequences of dreams over time & dream journals enable you to keep track. Thanks for reminding me, I should get back to it.
