Am I happy with what? My health? No. My life? Yes. My family and friends? Yes. It all depends on the situation.

Am I happy to be alive, yes. Am I happy to be married to my wife, yes.

Am I happy that young men are dying in wars we cannot win, no.

Am I happy that I cannot find work or buy decent health insurance because I am almost 61, no.

Am I happy because I am an American with rights guaranteed, such as the freedom of speech, which makes this website and others like it possible, yes.

Am I happy we have a Congress that is more concerned with party prestige than with real problems, no.

Therefore I guess I am happy, because as an American I have the right to voice my opinion about the things that make me unhappy.

    No, I am not happy.

In fact, several years ago, it occurred to me that the last time I was happy was when I was a very young child -- which was a time when I was mostly only concerned with the fulfillment of my own pleasures and desires.

And as a result of arriving at that conclusion, it also occurred to me that at this point in my life, it is not about my being happy. It is about my being grateful for all of the "good things" that are going on in my life, in my country, and in the world as a whole.

I am not sure if I am happy, because there are different definitions of happiness from people to people. But I am sure that I am not unhappy: I have best families, friends, career, hobbies, and I am pretty and healthy. More importantly, I keep bright future goal and ideal. Of course, I have troubles and worries, which is, at least it seems to me, necessary for human life.

I am the happiest I have ever been in my life.
I believe it is due to the fact that I finally found my balance with proper nutrition, exercise, hobbies, work, and fun. All while soaking up some good natural Vitamin D now that it's finally summer here in VT!

    Yes.

I am happy. I have gone through many different stages of life and understand what are my needs and what I am supposed to do.

Looking back in those days, I can truly say I am happy till today.

I have learnt not to dwell over unhappiness or sadness as it doesn't benefit me or my family.

So, I am happy. I believe everyone can as well.

Happiness just happens when you live each day with a light heart. I realized that it is okay to be 'a little hungry' in life because if we had everything we wanted all the time there would be nothing to strive for and no sense of achievement when we do succeed. So as with everything in life balance is the key. I have learnt to embrace my truimphs with enough humility to learn from both successes and failures. Life is full of both and I am happy with that. Am I happy? Most of us are really bad at being happy. Lets just say I am learning to allow happiness back into my life.
